The shoe angles that do real work
Lateral and medial sides
Both profiles show panel shape, stitching, midsole lines and details hidden from a single side.
Toe and heel
Front and rear views help compare symmetry, toe shape, heel alignment and collar height.
Outsole
A complete bottom view reveals tread layout, edges and areas that top-down photos cannot show.
Size and measurement
Read the tag, then look for visible insole or outsole measurements when the fit remains uncertain.
Compare the pair, not one shoe
One carefully positioned shoe can hide differences between the left and right pair. Look at both shoes together from the front and back. Check whether the toe shapes, heel heights, panel placement and major stitching lines appear reasonably consistent. Perspective can distort alignment, so use more than one angle before drawing a conclusion.
Separate tagged size from usable fit
Regional size conversions are not always equivalent, and a tag does not describe the internal shape. Record the stated size system. If a measurement is shown, confirm the unit and endpoints. Compare it with a shoe that fits you rather than assuming a generic conversion chart settles the decision. Materials, padding and last shape can still affect fit.
Account for the shoe box and packing
Footwear can carry more packed weight and volume than the item alone suggests. A box may protect the pair but add space; removing it may change protection and presentation. Keep those choices separate from the product price and use the OrientDig shipping weight guide before comparing categories.
A shoe-row workflow
- Confirm model, color, size and current source destination.
- Review both side profiles, toe, heel and outsole.
- Look for the pair together and note visible asymmetry.
- Record the size system and any useful measurement.
- Compare price and evidence with at least one similar pair.
- Mark box and packed-weight assumptions as estimates.
